PRINCE2® 6th edition Practitioner

The PRINCE2 Practitioner is aimed at people who regularly participate in projects or support projects and have a steering function, such as: steering committee members, project managers, team managers and managers of facility departments. The PRINCE2 Practitioner training teaches you to apply PRINCE2 in projects. This training provides insight into the coherence of the PRINCE2 principles, themes, and processes.

In addition to a further deepening of the theory, you will further delve into the practice of PRINCE2 with exercises based on a given case. Based on a practical case and own case histories, a large number of assignments are worked out with the PRINCE2 method.

The training is mainly practical. In the training some practice exams are discussed in preparation for the exam. You must have passed the PRINCE2 Foundation exam for certification.

Objective

After the training, the student is able to:

• Set up the entire project management process in accordance with PRINCE2
• To apply the PRINCE2 method in a practical and pragmatic way
• Take part in the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam.

Target audience
This course is suitable for project managers, steering groups, policy officers, project supporters and quality assurance staff, and anyone who is in the least involved and participating in one or more projects.

Prerequisites and level
To take the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam, you must provide proof that you have passed one of the following exams

• PRINCE2 Foundation
• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)
• IPMA level A (Certified Projects Director)
• IPMA level B (Certified Senior Project Manager)
• IPMA level C (Certified Project Manager)
• IPMA level D (Certified Project Management Associate)

3 days or 6 day-parts

In combination with the PRINCE2 Foundation 2 days (4 half-days)

Exam topics

• Produce detailed statements of all principles, themes and processes and worked examples of all PRINCE2 products as they can be applied to address the particular circumstances of a particular project scenario
• Demonstrate that they understand and can apply the relationship between principles, themes and processes and PRINCE2 products
• Demonstrate that they understand the motives behind PRINCE2's principles, themes and processes and that they understand the underlying principles of these elements
• Demonstrate that they can tailor PRINCE2 to different project conditions.
